As shown here, they take a lot of energy to produce the juice, which is void of important enzymes and other nutrients lost in the heating process. I think a much more efficient method for your consideration would be a small (or large) press. In that way the stems are also not an issue. After pressing out all the juice possible, the leftovers can be run thru a Foley (ricer) and all possible meat from the grapes can be extracted and used for jam, puree, or a grapesauce. Just some input.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02122654581901474232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4104850467540824174.post-40572769389792106032010-10-30T12:53:01.251-07:002010-10-30T12:53:01.251-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09599912078704905243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4104850467540824174.post-33315867010338919652010-10-30T12:52:58.980-07:002010-10-30T12:52:58.980-07:00Thanks Jeannetta - I've always done it this wa...Thanks Jeannetta - I've always done it this way and didn't know that the stems affected the taste.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09599912078704905243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4104850467540824174.post-2658457783404215822010-10-29T22:32:25.571-07:002010-10-29T22:32:25.571-07:00Love it! It's a bit more work, but the juice is clearer and there is less bitterness, even from grapes that are slightly underripe.Jeannettahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04852322353661463322noreply@blogger.com
