peanut butter cups

No - not Reese's, but individual servings of peanut butter. I saw these at Costco last week. These would be perfect for your 72-hour kits. You would have to make sure to rotate these every year or so. But pair them with those little packets of jam and some fun crackers, and you'll have complete comfort food for the kids!

Beware, most commercial peanut butter has partially hydrogenated oils. Yes, it makes them last longer, but is bad for your body. If you want to know how bad, search the internet. We keep plain, old-fashioned peanut butter with only peanuts and salt. You do have to rotate it more frequently - 2-3 months or so.

I'm hoping they'll fix that now that partially hydrogenated oils have been implicated in causing health problems.

Thanks for the comment.
